Officials in Kentucky are seeing a surge in independent voter registrations. Last Friday, Secretary of State Michael Adams announced nearly five-thousand new voters registered in July. Of those, more than 25-hundred selected “other” as their party affiliation, more than Republicans and Democrats combined. People registered under “other” make up 11 percent of the Kentucky electorate.
