Bridge Replacement Project on KY 3260 in Pulaski County Begins April 2

Road closed during Pitman Creek, Caney Fork bridge construction

SOMERSET, Ky. (Mar. 25, 2024) – A $2 million bridge replacement project on KY 3260 (Pumphouse Road) will begin on Tuesday, April 2, in Pulaski County, requiring a temporary 120-day road closure. The project will replace old crossings at Pitman Creek and Caney Fork with two new bridges to improve safety and connectivity for the community.

The roadway will be closed to through traffic between Old Pumphouse Road (mile point 0.73) and Kiteck Lane (mile point 0.92) on Tuesday, April 2, and will remain closed for 120 days. A signed detour route will be posted during the closure.

The starting date and duration of the closure may be adjusted for inclement weather or other unforeseeable delays.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet awarded a $1,997,487.68 contract to Bush and Burchett, Inc., for the work.
