In Friday’s high school football action, the Somerset Briar Jumpers dominated the game against the Danville Admirals, securing a convincing 50-7 victory. Pulaski County also delivered a commanding performance, defeating Harlan County with a score of 53-6. The Southwestern Warriors were equally impressive, triumphing over South Laurel with a remarkable score of 63-14.

Looking ahead to the upcoming Friday, the Somerset Briar Jumpers (6-2) will face the Leslie County Eagles (5-3) with kickoff at 7:30 p.m. Live coverage will be available on Somerset 106.1 FM & Somerset106.com. Meanwhile, the Southwestern Warriors (5-3) are set to take on the Pulaski County Maroons (3-6) with a kickoff at 7:30 p.m.

In Saturday’s high school volleyball matches, there were several competitive encounters, including Mercer County, Somerset, and Pulaski County teams in action. These matches served as preparation for the upcoming 47th and 48th District volleyball tournaments, set to take place on Monday.

On the college football front, the Kentucky Wildcats faced the Missouri Tigers, resulting in a 38-21 home loss. As a result, Kentucky fell out of the AP Top 25 poll. Kentucky has a bye week before hosting the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday, October 28th.

This Tuesday, the WKU Hilltoppers (4-2/2-0 CUSA) will face Jacksonville State (5-2/3-1 CUSA) with a kickoff at 7:30 p.m. ET. Fans can tune in for live coverage on WTLO AM 1480/97.7 FM, and the game will be seen nationally on ESPNU.

In Sunday’s NFL action, the Cincinnati Bengals secured a narrow 17-13 victory at home against the Seattle Seahawks. With a record of 3-3, the Bengals have a bye week and will return to action on Sunday, October 29th, facing the San Francisco 49ers on the road with a 4:25 p.m. kickoff.
