In a bold three-team trade, the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Clippers, and Utah Jazz have reshaped their rosters in a move aimed at both immediate impact and long-term flexibility.
The Miami Heat secured scoring machine Norman Powell, who’s fresh off a breakout season averaging 21.8 points per game and shooting 42% from three. The 32-year-old guard, a relentless competitor and perfect culture fit, gives Miami much-needed firepower following the departure of Jimmy Butler and a disappointing first-round playoff exit.
The Clippers receive athletic forward John Collins, 27, who averaged 19 points and 8.2 rebounds last season with the Jazz. With Kawhi Leonard and James Harden locked in, Collins brings explosive size and depth to a frontcourt looking for renewed energy.
Meanwhile, Utah offloads Collins’ sizable contract and gains veterans Kevin Love and Kyle Anderson, along with a 2027 Clippers second-round pick. More importantly, they create a $26.6 million trade exception, opening doors for future flexibility.
For all three franchises, this trade represents both a reset and a bet—on new chemistry, evolving rosters, and the ever-turning wheel of NBA ambition.
