J.K. Dobbins is officially a Denver Bronco—and he’s already setting his sights high.

After signing a one-year deal worth up to $5 million with incentives, the former Chargers running back said joining the Broncos was a “no-brainer,” citing the team’s elite defense, standout quarterback, and strong offensive line. But beyond football fit, Dobbins carries extra motivation: twice-a-year matchups with his former team.

“They’ve got to see me now,” Dobbins said. “Of course, I’ve got a chip on my shoulder. But it’s not just about beating the Chargers—I’m here to bring a Super Bowl to Denver.”

Dobbins rushed for a career-high 905 yards last season and impressed the Broncos enough during a Week 6 matchup that defensive coordinator Vance Joseph called him “one of the best backs we saw.”

With Javonte Williams now in Dallas, Dobbins will compete for significant carries, especially in third-down situations. While Denver’s backfield remains crowded, head coach Sean Payton made it clear Dobbins brings that “spaghetti sauce”—the extra yardage and consistency great backs deliver.

For Dobbins, this isn’t just a fresh start. It’s a mission.
