The dinosaurs are back—and so is the magic. “Jurassic World: Rebirth” roared to life Tuesday night in London as the cast and crew walked a lush green carpet for the film’s world premiere at Odeon Luxe in Leicester Square.
Stars Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, and Ed Skrein joined director Gareth Edwards and screenwriter David Koepp, who penned the original “Jurassic Park,” to celebrate the latest chapter in the legendary franchise. A surprise scene-stealer? A tiny animatronic dinosaur named Delores, who posed proudly with her handler.
Johansson, in a sleek pink gown, called the film “a love letter” to Spielberg’s original, praising Edwards’ passion and Koepp’s return. Bailey, reminiscing on seeing “Jurassic Park” as a child, shared how he even contributed musically, joining an orchestra session at Abbey Road Studios for the film’s score.
“Jurassic World: Rebirth” picks up five years after “Dominion,” with surviving dinosaurs living in tropical isolation—some possessing DNA that may save humanity.
The film stomps into theaters on July 2, promising nostalgia, wonder, and a few teeth.
