In her revealing new Hulu docuseries Call Her Alex, podcast host and media mogul Alex Cooper steps into vulnerable territory, publicly sharing allegations of sexual harassment by her former college soccer coach, Nancy Feldman, during her time at Boston University.
Premiering June 8 at the Tribeca Festival, the two-part series chronicles Cooper’s rise to fame while revisiting the painful chapter of her college years. Cooper claims Feldman fixated on her sophomore year, making inappropriate comments about her body, questioning her sex life, and engineering isolating encounters. “I felt so deeply uncomfortable,” Cooper recalls in the documentary.
Despite informing her parents and consulting legal counsel, Cooper says she was warned that pursuing action could result in years of institutional stonewalling. Ultimately, she kept her scholarship but left the soccer team and stayed silent—until now.
Returning to BU’s field for the documentary, Cooper says she “felt like [she] was 18 again.” During a Q&A, she explained it took a decade to speak up. “The system is so built against us as women,” she said. “This is just the beginning.”
Call Her Alex premieres June 10 on Hulu, offering a powerful reckoning with silence, survival, and systemic failure.
