In January 2024, during an appearance on the “Smartless” podcast, Selena Gomez mentioned, “I do feel like I have one more album in me,” leading to widespread speculation about her potential departure from the music industry. However, Gomez later clarified her statement, emphasizing that she does not intend to retire from music permanently. She explained that while she plans to explore more acting opportunities, music remains an integral part of her life. Gomez stated, “It’s not that it’s ‘no, never’ [to music], it’s more that I would like to explore that world a bit more and have the time to actually do that.”
This clarification comes alongside the release of her collaborative album with fiancé Benny Blanco, titled “I Said I Love You First,” which debuted on March 21, 2025. The album chronicles their personal journey and showcases their shared musical talents.
Gomez’s recent projects highlight her versatility as an artist, seamlessly blending her passions for both music and acting.
