12th Region Volleyball Tournament Semifinals (at West Jessamine High School):

  • Boyle Co. defeated Pulaski County Lady Maroons 3-2. Pulaski Co. ends their season at 25-12.
  • West Jessamine defeated Southwestern Lady Warriors 3-2. Southwestern ends their season at 29-10.

College Football:

  • WKU Hilltoppers defeated Kennesaw State 31-14. QB Caden Veltkamp went 17/22 for 276 yards and three touchdowns, making WKU bowl eligible for the sixth consecutive season. Next game: WKU vs. New Mexico State on Saturday, November 9th at 6 PM ET (WTLO AM 1480/97.7 FM).

Kentucky Wildcats Basketball:

  • Jaxson Robinson, a graduate transfer, has been named to the Naismith College Player of the Year and Naismith Julius Erving Award watch lists. Kentucky’s regular season opener is Monday against Wright State at Rupp Arena (7 PM on ESPNU).

MLB – World Series:

  • The LA Dodgers clinched the World Series with a 7-6 win over the New York Yankees in Game 5, securing the series 4-1. This is the Dodgers’ first championship since 2020.

NFL – Thursday Night Football:

  • Houston Texans (6-2) at New York Jets (2-6). Kickoff at 8:15 PM on Prime Video.

Friday High School Football:

  • Somerset Briar Jumpers (6-3) at Glasgow Scotties (4-5). Kickoff at 8 PM ET (coverage at 7:15 PM on Somerset 106.1 FM & Somerset106.com).
  • Pulaski Co. Maroons (6-3) at Corbin Redhounds (8-1). Kickoff at 7:30 PM.

Saturday College Football:
