In Kentucky Wildcats basketball news, freshman Justin Edwards has declared for the NBA Draft after playing in 32 of 33 games this season and averaging 8.8 points per game. College players with remaining eligibility who declare for the NBA Draft have until May 29 to make a final decision.

In college basketball, Seton Hall emerged victorious in the men’s NIT, defeating Indiana State 79-77.

On Friday in MLB action, the Cincinnati Reds (4-2) are set to open a three-game weekend series against the New York Mets (0-4) at GABP. RHP Hunter Greene (0-0/3.86 ERA) will make his second start of the season for Cincinnati. Live coverage of the game will begin at 6:10 pm on WTLO AM 1480/97.7 FM.

In women’s NCAA College Basketball, the Final Four matchups are scheduled to take place in Cleveland, Ohio on Friday. The South Carolina Gamecocks (36-0) will face the North Carolina State Wolfpack (31-6) at 7:00 pm on ESPN, followed by the Iowa Hawkeyes (33-4) taking on the UConn Huskies (33-5) at 9:00 pm on ESPN. The Women’s Championship game is set for Sunday, with tipoff at 3:00 pm on ABC.

In NCAA College Basketball Men’s Final Four action in Glendale, Arizona, the North Carolina State Wolfpack (27-14) will go up against the Purdue Boilermakers (34-4) at 6:09 pm on TBS on Saturday. Following that, the Alabama Crimson Tide (25-11) will take on the UConn Huskies (35-3) at 8:49 pm on TBS. The Championship Game is slated for Monday at 9:20 pm on TBS.
