In Thursday’s high school baseball action, Pulaski County dominated Knox Central with an 11-1 victory in just five innings, while Southwestern secured a narrow 4-3 win over Mercer County.

On the softball diamond, Pulaski County Lady Maroons defeated Garrard County 8-4, and the Southwestern Lady Warriors shut out Rockcastle County 4-0.

Transitioning to MLB, the Cincinnati Reds faced a tough 5-0 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies, concluding their four-game series and homestand at GABP.

In Kentucky Wildcats basketball news, Alvin Brooks III has joined the coaching staff. Brooks brings eight seasons of experience as the lead recruiter and top assistant for the Baylor Bears, adding to his impressive 20-year college coaching career.
