The AARP of Kentucky will host a Scam Jam & Shredding Day on Friday, April 12th, in Somerset at The Center for Rural Development beginning at 9:00 a.m. The event will focus on providing local residents with information needed to identify and avoid scams. Presenters at the event include the Somerset Chamber of Commerce, Somerset Police Department, Department of Financial Institutions, Office of the Attorney General, Kentucky Financial Empowerment Commission, and more.
Lunch at the Scam Jam & Shredding Day is free, and people can register at the event to win door prizes. Free, secure document shredding will be onsite. Registration for the day is required. To register visit HERE, or call 877-926-8300. The deadline to register is April 19th.
