Thursday Women’s College Basketball: The No. 22 Kentucky Wildcats powered past Northern Kentucky University with a decisive 70-41 victory at Memorial Coliseum. Sophomore Clara Strack recorded an impressive double-double, putting up 15 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists, 4 blocks, and a steal. Freshman center Clara Silva led the team with 18 points, along with 4 rebounds, 5 blocks, and 2 assists, while Georgia Amoore added 13 points, 8 assists, 5 blocks, and a steal. The Wildcats are set to return to the court against the Wofford Terriers on Tuesday at Memorial Coliseum, with tipoff at 6 p.m. on SEC Network Plus.
NFL Action: Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow went 34-for-56, throwing for 429 yards and four touchdowns, but Cincinnati narrowly lost to Baltimore, 35-34, after holding a 21-7 lead midway through the third quarter. Ja’Marr Chase was a standout with 11 catches for 264 yards and three touchdowns. College Basketball: Kentucky Wildcat Jaxson Robinson has been named to the John Wooden Preseason Watch List. Robinson, a transfer from BYU, averaged 14.2 points per game last season and was named Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year.
