Campbell County edged out Somerset Briar Jumpers 3-2, bringing Somerset’s season to a close. The Briar Jumpers finish as 47th District and 12th Region champions with an impressive 17-5 record.
Tuesday High School Volleyball:
- 47th District Championship: Pulaski County Lady Maroons swept Casey County Lady Rebels 3-0 to claim the title.
- 48th District Championship: Southwestern Lady Warriors triumphed over Somerset Christian School Lady Cougars in a thrilling 3-2 victory.
Wednesday College Basketball:
The Coach Mark Pope era begins for the Kentucky Wildcats as they take on Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers in their first preseason exhibition game at Rupp Arena. Tipoff is at 7 PM on SEC Network Plus.
