In the Girls 12th Region Tournament at Somerset High School, West Jessamine dominated Somerset Lady Briar Jumpers with an 8-0 win, ending Somerset’s season with a 15-7 record.
Over at the Boys 12th Region Tournament at Boyle County High School, West Jessamine edged Boyle County 1-0 in a tight match.
Thursday High School Volleyball:
In volleyball action, North Laurel outlasted Somerset Lady Briar Jumpers in a 3-2 thriller, while Taylor County swept Pulaski County Lady Maroons 3-0.
Thursday MLB Playoffs:
The Los Angeles Dodgers powered past the New York Mets 10-2 in Game 4 of the NLCS, taking a 3-1 series lead. Meanwhile, the Cleveland Guardians beat the New York Yankees 7-5 in Game 3 of the ALCS, but the Yankees still lead the series 2-1.

The Denver Broncos rolled over the New Orleans Saints 33-10 in Thursday Night Football.
Friday College Basketball:
Kentucky Wildcats men’s and women’s basketball teams will hold their annual Blue-White scrimmages Friday at Memorial Coliseum in Lexington. The event tips off at 6 PM. Mark Pope’s Wildcats men’s team will open exhibition play on Wednesday, October 23rd, at Rupp Arena against Kentucky Wesleyan. Tipoff is at 7 PM with live coverage on SEC Network Plus.
Kenny Brooks’ Wildcats women’s team starts their exhibition season on Monday, November 4th, against USC Upstate at 5 PM at Memorial Coliseum. Coverage will also air on SEC Network Plus.

College Football Saturday:
The Kentucky Wildcats (3-3, 1-3 SEC) hit the road to face the Florida Gators (3-3, 1-2 SEC) at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Florida leads the all-time series 53-21 and dominated UK for 31 straight seasons from 1987-2017. However, Kentucky has won the last three meetings and four of the last six, including a 33-14 win over the then-No. 22 Gators in Lexington last season.
