Tuesday High School Soccer Action: Boys 12th Region Tournament at Boyle County High School saw Boyle County edge Pulaski County with a tight 1-0 victory. The Pulaski County Maroons wrap up their season with a 9-8 record.

Girls 12th Region Soccer Tournament at Somerset High School featured a high-scoring battle as the Somerset Lady Briar Jumpers defeated Wayne County 6-4. In another match, West Jessamine cruised past Lincoln County with a 9-0 shutout.

High School Volleyball: The Pulaski County Lady Maroons continued their dominance on the court, defeating Wayne County 3-1.

Boys 12th Region Soccer Tournament: West Jessamine 4 Somerset Christian School Cougars 0. SCS ends their season at 7-10.

MLB Playoffs: The New York Yankees took control of their series, beating the Cleveland Guardians 6-3. The Yankees now lead the series 2-0.

Kentucky Wildcats Women’s Basketball: The Kentucky women’s basketball team enters the season ranked No. 22 in the preseason AP poll and was selected 8th in the SEC coaches preseason rankings. Georgia Amoore, a grad transfer from Virginia Tech, was named to the preseason First Team All-SEC. Amoore averaged 14.7 points, 5.2 assists, and shot 36.1% from beyond the arc during her time at Virginia Tech.

Don’t forget, the annual Blue-White Scrimmage for both Kentucky men’s and women’s basketball is this Friday at 6 PM at historic Memorial Coliseum.

Wednesday College Football: WKU Hilltoppers (4-2, 2-0 CUSA) hit the road to face Sam Houston State (5-1, 2-0 CUSA) in Huntsville, Texas. WKU won last year’s matchup 28-23, tying the all-time series at 1-1. Kickoff is at 7 PM ET, with live coverage on WTLO AM 1480/97.7 FM and ESPN2.

Friday Night High School Football:

  • Somerset Briar Jumpers (4-3) at Danville Admirals (0-7), kickoff at 7:30 PM. Coverage starts at 6:45 PM on Somerset 106.1 FM & Somerset106.com.
  • Harlan County Black Bears (1-5) at Pulaski Co. Maroons (4-3), kickoff at 7:30 PM.
  • South Laurel Cardinals (5-2) at Southwestern Warriors (3-4), kickoff at 7:30 PM.

College Football Saturday: The Kentucky Wildcats (3-3, 1-3 SEC) visit the Florida Gators (3-3, 1-2 SEC) at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville. Florida leads the series 53-21, but Kentucky has won three straight, including a 33-14 victory last season. Kickoff is at 7:45 PM ET, live on the SEC Network.

NFL Sunday: The Cincinnati Bengals (2-4) travel to face the Cleveland Browns (1-5) in the “Battle of Ohio.” The Bengals lead the all-time series 53-48, but the Browns have taken six of the last eight matchups. Kickoff is at 1 PM ET with coverage starting at 11:30 AM on WTLO AM 1480/97.7 FM and CBS-TV.
