High School Volleyball:

The Pulaski County Lady Maroons secured a 3-1 victory over North Laurel in Tuesday’s match.

High School Boys’ Soccer:

North Laurel defeated Pulaski County 3-0.

Girls’ Soccer:

The Southwestern Lady Warriors triumphed over Wayne County with a 5-1 win.

MLB:

Despite RBIs from Noelvi Marti, Spencer Steer, and Tyler Stephenson, the Cincinnati Reds fell to the Toronto Blue Jays 10-3 in Tuesday night’s game.

The Reds will face the Blue Jays in the series finale on Wednesday night at 7:07 PM, with RHP Nick Martinez (6-6, 3.25 ERA) set to start for Cincinnati. Tune in for live coverage on WTLO AM 1480/97.7 FM.

Kentucky Wildcats Basketball:

UK has announced two exhibition games for the upcoming season. The Wildcats will face Kentucky Wesleyan on October 23rd and Minnesota State Mankato on October 29th, both at Rupp Arena. The regular season tips off on November 4th against Wright State, also at Rupp Arena. Kentucky’s SEC opener is scheduled for Saturday, January 4th, against the Florida Gators at Rupp Arena. Former UK coach John Calipari’s Arkansas Razorbacks will visit Rupp Arena on Saturday, February 1st. Game times will be announced at a later date.

NFL:

The Cincinnati Bengals (0-2) will host the Indianapolis Colts (1-1) at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati for their final preseason exhibition game on Thursday. Live coverage begins at 6:30 PM, with kickoff at 8:00 PM on WTLO AM 1480/97.7 FM.

Friday High School Football:

The Somerset Briar Jumpers will open their season at home against the Perry County Central Commodores at Clark Field. Somerset finished last season with a 10-4 record but fell to PCC 21-20 in last year’s matchup in Hazard. Live coverage begins at 6:45 PM, with kickoff at 7:30 PM on Somerset 106.1 FM & Somerset106.com.

  • Pulaski County Maroons will face the Beechwood Tigers in Corbin. Kickoff is at 5:45 PM.
  • Southwestern Warriors will take on the North Hardin Trojans in Campbellsville on Saturday, with a 3:00 PM kickoff.
