College Football:
Kentucky sophomore Barion Brown scored three touchdowns but No. 22 Clemson Tigers rallied to beat the Kentucky Wildcats 38-35 in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, Fla. UK QB Devin Leary threw for 306 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions in the loss. The Cats also had three turnovers in the fourth quarter.
Kentucky ends the season at 7-6.
The Wildcats open the 2024 season at home against Southern Miss on Saturday, August 31st.

College basketball:
No. 8 Kentucky Wildcats cruised to a 96-70 victory over the Redbirds of Illinois State at Rupp Arena last Friday night. Antonio Reeves led UK with 27 points. Rob Dillingham 16, DJ Wagner 14, Reed Shepherd 11 points, five rebounds, five assists two steals, and two blocked shots.
Tre Mitchell with 11 rebounds.
Kentucky (10-2) opens SEC play against the Florida Gators in Gainesville this Saturday at 12:30p. Live coverage on ESPN.

Saturday- the WKU Hilltoppers defeated Abilene Christian 86-84 as Kristian Lander hit a jumper with just 7 seconds left to give WKU the win.
Tyrone Marshall led the Toppers with 20 points, Landed finished with 19.

Sunday women’s college:
Kentucky Wildcats defeated Samford Bulldogs 72-59. Ajae Petty with a double double for Kentucky 22 points and 13 rebounds. Maddie Sherr with 14 points and eight rebounds.
Kentucky (7-7) opens SEC play this Thursday at Rupp Arena vs the Arkansas Razorbacks. Tipoff 7p on SEC Network Plus.

Sunday NFL:
QB Jake Browning was 19/33 for 197 years with one touchdown and was sacked six times in a Cincinnati Bengals 25-17 loss to the Chiefs in Kansas City.

MLB:
The Cincinnati Reds signed free agent RHP Frankie Montas to a one year, $16M contract for 2024.
Montas pitched in only one game last season before undergoing shoulder surgery. He pitched for the Oakland Athletics from 2017-2022 compiling a 37-35 record with a 3.90 ERA. Montas is expected to complete for a spot in the
